The main issue is to study which effective equations to use at macroscopic level, knowing which partial differential equations govern mesoscopic levels as stated by one of the founders Luc Tartar. We will employ the simplest equation in the simplest model and focus on the very core idea of the theory: multi-scale expansion and H-convergence.
